The Scene
Open since 1978, Bulldogs is an Atlanta institution that has been home to more than its share of stray drinkers. Currently, it draws a mix of locals to its vantage point on Peachtree, in the heart of Midtown. Its expansive bar and large dance floor have been remodeled and feature a polished wood and chrome vibe. The sociable staff entertains both youthful and mature regulars who are always up for a new pool challenge at the solitary quarter-fed table.
The Draw
Drawing a crowd that includes a large African-American following, the newest incarnation of this famed Atlanta watering hole is a fine choice for a late-night drink with friends. Because of the location, Bulldogs is popular with tourists who populate Midtown high-rise hotels. The Oriental-style gazebo out back works great as a sultry summer meeting spot for friends. Come late for booming hip hop and dance music.
