Chef Kevin Gillespie and His Team Showcase Recipes from the TV Personality and “Top Chef” Winner to Celebrate the Release of Her New “Southern Get-Togethers” Cookbook
Event Details
Nàdair owner and chef Kevin Gillespie invites guests to meet “Southern Grit” author, “Top Chef” winner, TV personality, James Beard-nominated queen of Southern hospitality Chef Kelsey Barnard Clark for the launch of her new cookbook “Southern Get-Togethers: A Guide to Hosting Unforgettable Gatherings Plus Entertaining Inspiration, Tips, and 100+ Recipes.” The author will sign her book at Gillespie’s Woodland Hills restaurant on Sunday, Oct. 27 starting at 5 p.m.
In “Southern Get-Togethers,” Clark offers more than 100 crowd-pleasing recipes plus helpful tips on tablescaping, flower arranging, menu planning and food buying to ensure readers have the confidence and know-how for a memorable celebration of any size—from a Low Country boil to a bridal shower brunch to a hunting season feast.
Clark catered her first wedding at age 15 and has been hosting events ever since. Her new book distills her hard-earned party-planning wisdom into practical advice for newbie and experienced hosts alike: “This is a self-help book for throwing the damn party,” she says.
During the event, Gillespie and his team at Nàdair will serve small bites from the book alongside inspired cocktails, and guests will take home a signed copy. Tickets are available for three different one-hour time slots and can be purchased via Resy.
