Description
WELCOME to the Literacy House, a 501 © 3 in Atlanta, Georgia that primarily serves Veterans, aged-out foster youth, chronically homeless low income men, women, and children, and ex-offenders to find housing, training, and development. The Legacy House, Inc. is an initiative of Literacy to Legacy, Inc., which transforms young adults' lives. Instead of being a last resort for our clients, we are committed to mainstreaming adults from foster homes or homelessness, into their own homes; through life skills training, educational tutoring and test-taking preparation, job readiness programs, financial literacy, medical and psychological assistance where needed.
We are committed to seeing our client's live life free from derogatory stereotypes associated with being a product of the foster care system, homelessness, or formerly incarcerated. Positive life changes are encouraged and attained through structured programs which focus on education, employment, and life management.
