Description

Clean water is one of our planet’s most valuable resources.  It is critical to everything that we do.

Event Details

The food we eat, the electricity that powers our homes, and the cities and towns in which we live are all highly dependent upon having reliable sources of clean water.   Even the beer that we drink is 90% water.   Sadly, more than 780 million people in this world do not have access to clean water.   To help show the importance of clean water and the fact that with No Water there would be No Beer, the Georgia Section of the American Water Works Association (GAWWA) is hosting the fifth annual No Water, No Beer Festival®.  This year we have an exciting new venue in town at the Monday Night Brewery Garage location at the Lee+White complex on the Westside Beltline Trail.  This huge new venue will support the continued growth of this great event. This years event will be held on April 27, 2019 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm as a kick-off to Drinking Water Week.    The event will include delicious food, great music, and some of the best beer in the Southeast. The proceeds from this event will help Water for People in their quest to provide clean water to people in developing countries, it will help Rivers Alive in efforts to keep our water supply clean right here in Georgia, and it will help the AWWA Water Equation provide scholarships for training operators in protecting our health.  Over the past 4 years we have had great events with over 350 people in attendance for each event and success in raising $25,000 for these great causes.
We invite you to join us in supporting WFP, Rivers Alive, and the Water Equation through your sponsorship and attendance at this fundraiser at the Monday Night Brewing’s Garage. More information on the event is located at  www.gawwa.org/beer-festival/.  Also please spread the word within your organization about the event and that tickets are available (there are a limited number of tickets now available at the lowest price, and the cost will increase as the event approaches). On behalf of all the communities served by WFP, Rivers Alive, and teh Water Equation we thank you for your support.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Water For People, Rivers Alive and AWWA's Water Equation.
