Description
The OK Cafe opened its doors July 8, 1987, and so great was the longing for a true southern restaurant that by the end of the first week it had become an Atlanta phenomenon with crowds standing in line to get in. Today it serves more customers than any other full service restaurant in Georgia.
People come to the OK Cafe for the quality of the food and the sort of menu your grandmother would make for Sunday dinner, if you had a grandma who could cook that is. Mix in an uncle who was a short order cook at the best grill in town, and you've got the family recipes that make the OK Cafe so popular. Add to the family tree an aunt with a sense of fun who created an art-filled environment, and it's easy to see how this ongoing party, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, became the home-away-from-home for so many.
Lauded by the likes of MONEY, FORBES, SOUTHERN LIVING, and LADIES HOME JOURNAL, to name just a few, the OK Cafe continues to hit the mark in southern hospitality and firmly represents why the south has risen again.
